Preschool Classroom
Three and four year olds still need extended periods of self directed play in order to develop social skills, language skills and problem solving skills. They are also ready for some scaffolding that connects their physical relational play experiences to the symbols that represent knowledge in literacy and math. Literacy learning, math, science, music and art will be incorporated in the daily activities through theme units. The activities will be challenging and geared for success at individual developmental stages. Observation of children’s motivation and interest will determine the emerging curriculum.
In each classroom we try to provide a balance of structured (teacher-led) activities and child directed play/exploration.
**Please note that schedules are subject to change to meet the needs of the children in the group
